Eva is set to play a role in the upcoming comic book adaptation of “The Spirit”. Based on Will Eisner’s comic book, “The Spirit” is the story of a rookie-cop who returns from the dead to fight crime in Central City. This hero has an arch-nemesis, naturally, named The Octopus, who is trying to destroy Central City. The Spirit must battle his enemy to preserve his beloved Central City’s peace and order. Sounds too common and simple a story for you? Wait until you see the roster for this adaptation.

Samuel L. Jackson, Eva Mendes, Scarlett Johansson, Jaime King, Paz Vega..the list goes on. And of course, Frank Miller will be directing this film. Directed in a similar style as his critically-acclaimed eye candy of a movie “Sin City”, “The Spirit” looks to be a great comic book adaptation once again by the renowned director. Under the radar for too long, the movie now has a website up dedicated for fans and interested viewers alike. “The Spirit” is hiding under the shadows of big budget superhero films like the much-awaited “Iron Man”, but again, this movie promises to be another unique take on comic books by Frank Miller.

I would love to see the beautiful Eva portray one of the female leads on this one. Add to that the list of gorgeous screen vixens like Scarlet Johansson and Jaime King, and don’t forget, the bad ass himself, Samuel L. Jackson! I, for one, am definitely waiting for this movie to come out soon.
