Actress Eva Mendes, fresh from Cirque Lodge and rehab, has added model to her loaded resume. Two separate global campaigns for fashion designer Calvin Klein is in the works for this stunning Latina beauty.
Eva is known for her acting skills, starring in several films including the hit “Training Day”, “Hitch” with Will Smith, and most recently, “We Own the Night” with Joaquin Phoenix and former Calvin Klein poster boy Mark Wahlberg.

She is reportedly going to be the face for the new fragrance by Calvin Klein. The as-yet-unnamed fragrance will be Eva’s first campaign in that line of work. Tom Murry, President and COO of Calvin Klein, Inc. said, “Eva exudes an effortless and unpretentious sensuality which is perfectly in line with the Calvin Klein DNA.” Calvin Klein announced the actress will also be the new face for the launch of the Seductive Comfort collection of underwear by the company. Her curves and girl-next-door appeal are perfect for the line and its target audience. “Seductive Comfort is our new collection of bras which offer the unique combination of the Calvin Klein aesthetic with a new level of fit, support, and superior comfort. Eva’s universal appeal will enable us to communicate this new launch to our worldwide audience,” Bob Mazzoli, Chief Creative Officer of CK Underwear, said in a statement issued to the press.

Eva has had a great relationship with the brand for quite some time. She has used Calvin Klein outfits for a number of high profile events including this year’s Independent Spirit Awards and last year’s Fashion Rocks, often with Creative Director Francisco Costa. Costa is nominated for the Womenswear Designer of the Year Award at this year’s CFDA Fashion Awards. The two’s friendship and working experience will suit well for the actress’ upcoming Calvin Klein campaigns.

It’s great to see Eva bouncing back with various projects after her rehab stint at Cirque Lodge. Likewise, it’s good to know that this actress has still a positive outlook in life, even branching out to modeling after her success in show business. Finally, it’s great to see the actress leave her past troubles behind and start living her life anew.

The actress was seen leaving a friend’s house in Los Angeles, wearing dark glasses and a gray hat, keeping a low profile after recently leaving rehab. However, Eva’s representative announced that the actress came to L.A. to just take care of “personal business”. According to her, the actress has every intention of going back and finishing her treatment at the prestigious facility. Good news for her fans. This means the actress is determined to get well soon and hopefully already on her way to a speedy recovery.

Eva Mendes is at the famous Cirque Lodge, near Sundance, for treatment of an ongoing substance abuse problem. The Lodge is one of the most respected treatment facilities in the country, with Lindsay Lohan and other stars as celebrities in their “guest” list.

It was made known that Eva has been at Cirque Lodge for several weeks already.

Eva Mendes’ rep said in a statement, “Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support. Out of respect for Eva’s privacy, we do not wish to discuss further details.”

A lot of big stars have substance abuse problems nowadays. It’s a bit sad that these same celebrities are the ones we look up to and try to emulate. But of course, nobody’s perfect. This just goes to show that fame and fortune does not make a god out of somebody. Celebrities are still susceptible to drug and alcohol addiction. All of us are human and can be drawn to vices that can eventually destroy our lives. What is nice to know is that these stars are taking the steps necessary to address their problems, setting an example for other troubled people to do the same.
